Fair Harbor makes ultra-comfortable beachwear made from recycled plastic bottles. Founded in 2014 by siblings Jake and Caroline Danehy, Fair Harbor was started with the goal of helping promote the mitigation of single use plastics and keeping waste out of our oceans. About The Role

The Fair Harbor Production Manager will be responsible for day to day communication with all factories. This role will be responsible for managing the Fair Harbor WIP and organizing all production from product conception to delivery in the warehouse. It is required that this role is extremely organized, fast thinking and detail obsessive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and facilitate daily communication with vendors to address all Product Development and Production issues
  • Work directly with CEO to negotiate improved terms with existing suppliers and build relationships with potential new suppliers
  • Manage all QC (Quality Control)
  • Obtain and maintain Time & Action Calendars from all vendors and communicate the information to Design and Merchandising - key trigger dates for fabric commit, final units, color assortment, size breaks and ship mode
  • Issue Purchase Orders to vendors and coordinate PO’s as needed for our WMS
  • Oversee all aspects of international shipping - approve bookings, shipping methods, keep records of rates and delivery timelines
  • Provide accurate and up to date information to the respective internal departments regarding inbound deliveries to our distribution centers
  • Contribute to team efforts by completing projects and tasks as needed
  • Partner with product development and design counterparts on coordinating the time & action calendar and tech pack accuracy before distribution to vendors
  • Reactive support for chase initiatives
  • Daily tracking & maintenance of records for sampling, raw materials, production
  • Weekly T&A management & escalation of production issues as needed
  • Communicate with overseas vendors to ensure deadlines, standards, and expectations are met
  • PO creation & management

Position Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in apparel production
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments with excellent follow up and follow through skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams and overseas factories
  • Advanced excel skills are a must
  • Highly detail oriented and consistent
  • Motivated and enthusiastic; a great team player who is also able to work independently and own their function
